Jewish Film

The Adult Education Committee of Temple Sinai sponsors thought provoking, inspirational and illuminating films throughout the year to our congregational members. These films are often previously shown at various Jewish film festivals across the world and are moderated by one of our clergy. The committee and clergy select those films that represent a broad view of a variety of Jewish experiences, including documentaries, foreign and Yiddish films . Our goal is to enrich and educate our members by the films we choose, as well as, to encourage dialogue by allowing the members to discuss the film after the showing. Many film discussions are enhanced by guests or scholars in attendance, who are familiar with the film or topic.

The film series is sponsored by Adult Education and attendance is free. A pre-film dinner, subsidized by the adult education committee, is offered at a nominal cost. Shown on a large movie screen in the social hall, the film series at Temple Sinai receives a large participation from our congregation.
