3rd & 4th Grade Camp Coleman Retreat – October 24-26, 2008

Don’t miss the annual 3rd & 4th Grade Retreat to Camp Coleman in beautiful north Georgia!  The retreat this year will be lead by Rabbi Segal who will spearhead a terrific weekend filled with fun, learning, sharing, sports, arts & crafts, and Jewish identify-building activities.  The retreat is a wonderful opportunity for all third and fourth graders within our synagogue family (religious and day school students) to deepen their connections to one another.  Please RSVP by Wed., Oct. 15.  (Please note: there will not be religious school on Sun., Oct. 26 for those 3rd & 4th graders not going on the retreat.)

5th & 6th Grade Charleston Trip – March 20-22, 2009

Once every two years we make the journey to beautiful Charleston, South Carolina!  This trip has proven to be on the Top 10 list of memories for growing up at Sinai.  Some past highlights have included: going on a Carriage Tour of Historic Charleston; visiting Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum; taking a ghostwalk tour of Charleston; and attending services at Congregation Beth Elohim – birthplace of Reform Judaism in America.  More details will be provided as the date approaches.  (Please note: there will not be religious school on Sun., Mar. 22 for those 5th & 6th graders not going on the retreat.)

2nd Grade Camp Coleman Retreat – April 19, 2009

This retreat is designed to give our second graders a chance to be “campers-for-a-day” at Camp Coleman in beautiful north Georgia.  Through various activities including arts and crafts, sports, and canoeing the children will explore and experience the world from a Judaic perspective.  It is a great opportunity for community building and easing the youngsters into the camping experience.  More details will be provided as the date approaches.  (Please note: there will not be religious school on Sun., April 19 for those 2nd graders not going on the retreat.)
