Second Helpings Atlanta is a non-profit, charitable food rescue and redistribution project operating daily in North Atlanta.

Since 2004, Second Helpings volunteers have delivered over 2.3 millions pounds of food, otherwise destined for the landfill, to local charitable organizations to assist the food needy.

Throughout the nation, the need for food assistance has increased and waste generated from our system of food distribution and marketing has reached epic proportions. In Atlanta, Second Helpings volunteers step up every day to address the problem in our community.
