COVID Policies Update

Jack Feldman, Rabbi Ron Segal and Adam Mayer

As we endeavor to strengthen our community amidst the ever-changing pandemic landscape, we are pleased to share the latest update in our COVID safety protocols. Beginning this Friday with our Kabbalat Panim (pre-service reception) at 5:45 pm, Temple Sinai will once again allow food and beverages, both indoors and outdoors, at future congregational programs and services. Please note, however, that while we desire to foster increased opportunities for socialization, we also want to mitigate risk wherever possible. Thus, while masks may be removed when eating or drinking, they remain mandatory throughout the building, including in the sanctuary for Shabbat services and at any other time when not eating or drinking.

Masks continue to remain a requirement for all individuals (ages 2 and older), in any of our education programs that take place inside the building, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are optional outdoors.

We, of course, appreciate that there are members of our community who are immunocompromised or for other reasons feel more comfortable wearing a mask at all times when attending in-person events, regardless of vaccination status or the availability of food and drinks, and we fully honor personal preferences and practices.

Finally, we reinforce our ongoing request that unvaccinated adults participate virtually in worship services, adult learning sessions, and programs (when available).

Should you have any questions regarding our updated COVID protocols, do not hesitate to contact Jack Feldman. We continue to wish all in our congregational family the blessings of good health and strength.

With shalom and best wishes,

Jack Feldman, Executive Director
