Oh what a night!

How wonderful it was to be able to celebrate the rabbinates of our friends, teachers, and Senior Rabbis Phil Kranz and Ron Segal. Throughout the evening of honor, time and again we heard the refrain relating how lucky we are as a community that we have been and continue to be shaped by their vision, dedication, and friendship. As was shared, Rabbi Segal strives to follow the model set by Rabbi Kranz as he continues to navigate his very successful senior rabbinate and Rabbi Kranz continues to delight that Rabbi Segal actually made him a Senior Rabbi. The respect, honor, and love shared between these two were clearly on display for the benefit of us all!

A special thanks go to the individuals who helped to make the evening a success. Thank you to all who sponsored the event, all who purchased tickets, and to our incredible staff who came not only to support Rabbis Kranz and Segal but who also helped with the setup and execution of the evening (and who were especially helpful when the power went out!). To our celebration chairs, Amy Bubes and Robyn Tanenbaum, our tribute book chairs Lori Peljovich and Melanie Zucker, our archivist Melissa Swindell and our development chair Mindi Sard, and especially to Shelly Dresdner, we offer our appreciation and gratitude. 

Our thanks extend as well to Nancy Kranz and Jill Segal for the years of guidance and support you offered to make Phil and Ron the rabbis they have become. You have been sounding boards, you have cajoled and encouraged them, and your ideas have molded Temple Sinai into the congregation it is today. For that and so much more, we offer collective thanks.

Finally, thank you to Phil and Ron for giving us so much to celebrate. Mazel Tov to you both, and Mazel Tov to us all, your congregational family, for this important and rather incredible milestone!
