Ilana Levenberg is one of the main reasons that we chose Temple Sinai 11 years ago. Rebecca and I were considering several congregations to call our synagogue home and one of the prime factors in our decision was that we wanted a place where Ilana would be able to engage with Judaism, create positive Jewish memories, and where we would be comfortable raising her in a congregational setting.

We have been delighted that it worked out beyond our wildest dreams.

Now… that little girl who has charged the bima after services and who attacked the oneg table following services and who graduated from the Temple Sinai Preschool and who has been a regular fixture at youth programs is, well, she’s not such a little girl anymore. As of this writing, she is 30 days shy of the biggest day (so far) of her life.

And considering that you have seen her grow up it makes perfect sense to have you celebrate this special day with us. We sincerely hope that, should your schedule permit, you consider attending services on September 9 at 10:30 in the morning and stay for the kiddish luncheon that follows.
