Next week, Reform Jews from all over the world will converge in Chicago for the Union for Reform Judaism’s Biennial Convention. This gathering of over 6,000 people is an electrifying experience of learning, worship, collegiality, music and celebration of our movement. What is most energizing for me personally is the confluence of old and new and the innovations shared in areas of technology, education, programming, musical repertoire, social action and congregational life.

I have been attending and performing at these conventions for 20 years now. When I walk the halls of the convention center wearing the badge that says Temple Sinai, I am proud to be recognized as being a part of an institution with outstanding leadership, rabbis and initiatives. We have many staff and lay leaders who are both attending and presenting next week. Stay tuned to hear about all of our experiences, how Temple Sinai contributes to the Reform Movement and how we are inspired by the many teachers and leaders of Reform institutions all over the globe.

Many parts of the conference including plenary sessions and worship are being streamed. Visit https://www.urjbiennial.org/livestream for the schedule and watching.

Wishing you each a Shabbat Shalom,

Beth
