A Jewish Grand Tour: Should 'Travel' Become the Jewish Practice of Our Age?
Tuesday, June 15, 2021 • 5 Tammuz 5781
1:00 PM - 2:00 PMVirtualDespite having let go of the idea of pilgrimage over two thousand years ago, should traveling to sites of Jewish significance – in Europe and Israel – enter our practice as a way to embed connections across time and space? Are there, or could there be, a 'canon of places'? And by extension, is there is a 'canon of questions' to discuss when we get there?
Register here (select June 15) for this event featuring last year's Scholar in Residence Jeremy Leigh, cosponsored with Hebrew Union College/Jewish Institute of Religion. You will receive a link to join upon registration.
After the presentation, please join us in the Temple Sinai virtual room for a discussion with Rabbi Natan.
