A henpecked Orthodox university student incurs the wrath of his overbearing mother after falling for a gorgeous gentile in this raucous Swiss rom-com. Mordechai Wolkenbruch has long obeyed the strictures of Zurich’s ultra-observant community and his Yiddishe mama. After matchmaking attempts flop, her worst nightmare is realized when a frisky, non-Jewish classmate enter her son’s orbit. Motti’s search for autonomy leads him to Tel Aviv, a trip full of joy and heartbreak. Poking fun at intergenerational cultural tension, this Swiss Best International Feature Oscar entry is based on Thomas Meyer’s bestselling satirical novel.

Temple Sinai has secured group tickets to see Wolkenbruch’s Wondrous Journey Into the Arms of a Shiksa at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival on Saturday, February 22 at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $15/person. Tickets must be paid for in advance - if you would like to pay via check, please contact the Temple Sinai office at 404-252-3073 to secure your tickets.

Limited tickets are available and are offered on a first come, first serve basis - for Temple Sinai members only.

Tickets will be available to be picked up at the Sinai office once they have been paid for in full. Attendees will be notified when tickets are ready for pick up. Tickets not claimed by Friday, February 21 at 4:00 pm will be forfeited.

Join us for an After-Party at Temple Sinai, hosted by the Women of Sinai and Brotherhood. Entry is $10 for Brotherhood/WOS members and $15 for non-Brotherhood/WOS members. The party will feature a light dinner, drinks, desserts and an engaging post-film discussion.

You are welcome to come to the After-Party if you have pre-purchased movie tickets or are an AJFF donor with tickets, but please RSVP below.
