Evie has been around good food all her life. Her grandmother was a wonderful home cook and her mom Charlene Sacks and sister Annette Marcus are accomplished caterers/bakers. She loves to play around in the kitchen and looks forward to sharing with you one of her favorite home recipes. This sweet noodle kugel recipe is a mash-up of her mom's recipe and one given to her by a childhood friend. Join Evie to learn how to make this one-of-a-kind recipe!

Sweet Noodle Kugel

8 oz. extra wide egg noodles, cooked according to package
4 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk
1 stick butter or margarine (1/2 cup), melted and cooled
1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs

Topping:
1/2 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1/4 cup powdered sugar
3 T butter melted (more if you want it crumblier!)

Mix cream cheese and butter in mixer. Add eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add cooked noodles to the mixture. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate overnight. Spray an 8 x 8 inch baking dish and pour mixture in. Spread topping, bake 350 for 1 to 1.25 hours or until nicely browned on top and bottom. Let it stand for 1/2 hour before cutting.

Enjoy!
