2020 High Holy Day Teen Techie Corps

Thank you for your interest in being on the Teen Techie Mitzvah Corps during the High Holy Day season! Temple Sinai needs 8th-12th grade volunteers to be on-call tech assistants for congregants to prepare for our high holy day programs. This is a great opportunity to help engage and interact with our Temple Sinai members and do a mitzvah!

*The needs of congregants may vary from needing to setup a laptop and connect to Wifi, to simply resetting their email password or clicking the livestream link, which you could do over the phone. As a Teen Techie Mitzvah Corps volunteer, you can include your family in the mitzvah to help others get set up, and only engage however you are comfortable. There are a few options for you to help our congregants, and check all boxes that apply below.

I would like to engage as a Teen Techie by:

Meeting a congregant (with masks and physical distancing) to set up their device correctly.Picking up a congregant's device from them, setting it up, and bringing it back to them.Being "on call" for a congregant who has questions about how to get to the service online or their computer. (Remote option)Bringing my family (including parents!) to the congregant's house to help set up their device, internet, etc.Loaning a device for someone who does not have one to use.

* I have discussed this with my parents and will do my option with permission and support from them. I also understand that if I must wear a mask if I choose to meet another masked congregant. I will only do the options above that I AND MY PARENTS are comfortable with me doing.
