First Friday Family Shabbat

First Friday night of the month, 6:30 pm

Join us each month on the first Friday of the month for our special First Friday Family Shabbat (clever, right?). It is a time when families can sit together, as families, and sing together, and pray together. It is where adults can model for their kids what services mean to us and where our kids can showcase their familiarity with prayers and melodies that they learn throughout the year. It is about an hour – just an hour – that is the key to so much more.

Family Engagement Programs

We offer several opportunities for families to celebrate Jewish life and learning throughout the year.  All Temple Sinai families are invited to celebrate Jewish holidays, repair the world through social action, and connect while building community with other families.  Whether you attend Jewish day school or Temple Sinai Religious School, we hope you will share these special moments with your Temple Sinai family.  A sample of events throughout the year include:

  • Family Tashlich Experience
  • First Friday Family Shabbat dinners and challah making
  • Social Action Sundays
  • Family Tu B’Shevat Experience
  • And more…

Family Engagement in Religious School

Families are a core part of the learning experience in the Temple Sinai Religious School.  Each grade will have one Family Workshop throughout the year, where children and parents learn together.  Each month families are invited to join us for Family T’fillah, an opportunity for parents to join their children from 9:30 to 10 am for prayer, song, and community, led by our clergy.
