We're ready for another great session of Noar Sunday this Sunday, October 3! We are looking forward to another great day of Bayit(home base) and chugim (electives) as we focus on the Jewish value of rachmanut (compassion) towards others this week. To learn more about how the Mensch Middot(Jewish values in action) are embedded at Noar, you can learn more here.
Last weekend was big for all of our Noar programs: it was the kick-off for our family program, Noar B'Yachad (you can read more here!) and our first Club 6 Connect event. You can see how much fun we had below -- and keep reading for what you need to know this week for an awesome experience this Sunday! If you'd like to switch to Noar B'Yachad, please email us and we'll be happy to get you set up!
Thank you for partnering with us at carpool this past week. It was a smooth experience and we will continue this system using names, so carpool numbers are no longer needed. For an efficient arrival and dismissal process, Noar students will begin and end their day in their bayit (home base) rain location. Classes will be utilizing both outdoor and indoor spaces each week to maximize learning and avoid mixing groups.
Any student being dropped off after 9:45 AM must be walked in through the front door. The side and back parking lots are closed off at 9:45 AM for outdoor learning.
Schmoozers: Parents can drop off (beginning at 9:15 AM) and pick up (beginning at 12:15 PM) students at their classroom doors. Pick up begins at 12:15 PM. Please remain in the hallway when dropping off and picking up.
Cruisers: Our carpool staff will ask you the names and grade of children you are picking up. Please continue to hang your carpool number from the rearview mirror when picking up.
Madrichim: 7th and 8th grade Madrichim will dismiss to Noar carpool. 9th and 10th grade Madrichim will dismiss to the front (main) synagogue entrance.
Noar Sunday Hebrew will be dismissed to the outdoor chapel for lunch after Noar Sunday. If your child is not attending Hebrew on that day and needs to be dismissed from Noar during carpool, please email Rachel Moldovan. This week, we'll be spending time both indoors and outdoors. Don't forget to:
Arrive in a mask
Dress to be outdoors (weather appropriate clothes and shoes)
Wear sunscreen and bug spray
Bring a labeled water bottle
If you'd like, your student can begin bringing tzedakah (charitable giving) this week. This can be in the form of change for each tzedakah organization ordonated items for the CAC. This year, each eidah is focusing on helping a different organization for economic justice. We'll share more in coming weeks about each cause.
Dismissal Reminders Please note that we cannot do early pickups past 11:30am. If you are picking up early, please park in the front lots and go to the Noar office to check out.
