Welcome Back, Noar Families!

This past Sunday, we kicked off the start of what is going to be an incredible year with lots of activities for both kids and parents alike. Marisa Kaiser, the Charles S. Ackerman Senior Director of Learning & Engagement started the morning with a dream of hers: bringing llamas to Noar.

You might be asking, "Why llamas?"  -- and you would not be alone in wondering that! The Hebrew for the word "why?" is למה (lamah)...

and "WHY?" is one of the most important questions we can ask is Judaism!

It is such a crucial part of Jewish learning to question and to doubt things. We want to instill the idea of challenging what you learn at a young age, which is why our mascot for Noar this year is the llama (למה)!

You can check out more of Sunday's fun below:

We were all smiles coming back to Noar!

The Noar llamas! We got to pet and feed them throughout the morning. So fun!

There were lots of opportunities for students to get to know each other, get some energy out, and enjoy cool treats!

It wouldn't be a day at Noar without a focus on mitzvot! This week, we worked with Pebbletossers, a nonprofit that helps empower youth, families, and different groups to volunteer for incredible causes. This week, the project benefitted the Refugee Women's Network. We helped make blankets and cards for some of Georgia's newest residents.

There are no Noar or H.U.B. programs this weekend (September 4th), but we look forward to seeing you again on Sunday, September 11th!

We'll be doing a first-day Color War Assembly, so make sure to wear your eidah's colors:

Shoreshim (Pre-K - 1st) GREEN

Chaverim (2nd-3rd) BLUE

Orim (4th-5th) YELLOW/GOLD

Zehut (6th) RED/PURPLE
