We can't wait to see you this Sunday, September 18th!
This week, Chaverim (Grades 2-3) will start the day with Family T'filah from 9:30 - 10:00 AM in the sanctuary with Cantor Beth. Chaverim students should also be sure to bring a stuffed animal this week as students will begin their Jewish lifecycle lesson (it will stay at Temple Sinai for the duration of the unit).
It's going to be an exciting day -- Grades 2-6 will be starting chugim (electives)this week! If your student was present last week, they have already selected their chug. If they were not able to choose last week, they will have the opportunity this Sunday.
Family High Holy Day Services We hope to see everyone at the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Reconsidered services. The Reconsidered Service is a shorter, more contemporary take on the High Holy Day experiences and are a great way for families with school aged children to celebrate these Holy Days together. These services include prayer, Torah, songs and stories, and a sermonette to provide a more informal, family-friendly service experience. Make sure to sign up for tickets here!
Thinking about Tzedakah? The Temple Sinai community is working together to collect food for the Community Assistance Center (CAC) in Sandy Springs. There are collection bins in the main, Noar, and preschool lobbies. Items can be donated in person to these bins or you can "click-a-mitzvah" and view requested items and even have them shipped directly to Temple Sinai.
As always, we recommend being dressed to be both indoors and out, to bring a water bottle, and be ready to be active!
Snacks are available at the Shuk (in the lobby) or you may bring a snack from home. We do have severe allergies at Noar and all snacks must nut free. If you'd like your child to purchase snacks from the Shuk, you can either prepay or bring money each week.
You can find our updated COVID-19 policies here. To help these policies be successful and to keep our community as healthy as possible we ask that if you are showing any symptoms of illness, please do not attend Noar that day.
Arrival and Dismissal
For an efficient arrival and dismissal process, Noar students will begin and end their day in their bayit (home base).
Any student being dropped off after 9:45 am must be walked in through Temple Sinai instead of going through carpool. The side and back parking lots are closed off at 9:45 AM for outdoor learning.
Schmoozers (Park and Walk): Parents can drop off (beginning at 9:15 AM) and pick up (beginning at 12:15 PM) students at their classroom doors. Pick up begins at 12:15 pm. Please remain in the hallway when dropping off and picking up.
Cruisers (Carpool): Our carpool staff will ask you the names and grade of children you are picking up.
Madrichim: 7th, 8th, and 9th grade Madrichim/H.U.B. students will dismiss to Noar carpool. 10th grade Madrichim (enrolled in Confirmation) will dismiss to the front (main) synagogue entrance.
Noar Sunday Hebrew will be dismissed to the outdoor chapel for lunch after Noar Sunday. If your child is not attending Hebrew on that day and needs to be dismissed from Noar during carpool, please email Rachel Moldovan.
Dismissal Reminders Please note that we cannot do early pickups past 11:30 am. If you are picking up early, please park in the front lots and go to the Noar office to check out.
