Where do we go from here? After spending much of the year retelling the epic saga of Moses and the people of Israel’s journey to the Promised Land, with the celebrated completion of Deuteronomy we once again return to Genesis; to the “void and darkness” that existed prior to God’s creation of the heavens and earth. Are we going backward or forward? What are the implications and significance of this dramatic shift in our eternal cycle of Torah?
