Weekly Worship Opportunities

Shabbat Service

Saturday, 10:00 am

This thoughtful, contemplative adult service is led by one of our rabbis or our talented Chevra T'filah (a group of lay volunteers). The service has a traditional feel, with most of the liturgy sung in Hebrew, accompanied by meaningful English poetry and commentary. Every word is transliterated, so even non-Hebrew readers can fully participate in the service.

Erev Shabbat

Friday, 6:30 pm

A warm and intimate service led by one of our rabbis in a well-balanced blend of Hebrew and English. Frequently enhanced by the music of a guitar, this service includes a thoughtful D'var Torah by the rabbi and ends by 7:40 pm.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Service

Saturday, 10:30 am

Most Shabbat mornings at 10:30 am in the sanctuary, we celebrate a Bar or Bat Mitzvah in the context of the Shabbat morning service. The service, led by the Bar or Bat Mitzvah, at least one of the rabbis and co-led by our Cantorial Soloist, includes a short D'var Torah delivered by the Bar or Bat Mitzvah candidate or candidates. B'nei Mitzvah are occasionally also celebrated on Shabbat afternoon within the context of a Shabbat mincha service and on Mondays or Thursdays in either the morning or the afternoon.

Tot Shabbat

Once a Month, 5:00 pm

An interactive service for tots and their families filled with song, stories, and dancing. Welcome Shabbat by lighting candles, drinking grape juice, and eating challah (after the fun of tearing it apart), as the rabbi teaches the prayers in a simple, meaningful way. Tot Shabbat is also offered occasionally on Shabbat morning and once a year as a Havdalah service.
