With the recent news of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases discovered in Fulton County, we know that many of you are concerned about the virus and how it may affect our community. We want to reassure you that the safety, health and well-being of our members, students, staff and guests is our top priority. As COVID-19 continues to spread, Temple Sinai is closely monitoring the situation through the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and continue to follow their guidance and recommendations. The following are specific steps we are taking to prevent the spread of illness:

• The entire Temple Sinai building (including all classrooms, washrooms, hallways, gathering spaces, etc.) is being sanitized with a professional grade Enviro-Shield disinfecting system twice a week.
• In addition to normal cleaning procedures, our maintenance staff is being extra vigilant about sanitizing all door handles, light switches and surfaces in high traffic areas.
• Signage has been placed throughout the building to remind everyone to wash hands thoroughly and use the hand sanitation stations that can be found throughout the building.
• We have convened a task force to prepare a plan and response should the virus continue to spread and affect our community.

The CDC and the GDPH have been very consistent in urging the following measures for all Georgians to help prevent the spread of any respiratory virus:

• If you or your children are sick, please stay home. Stream services online HERE. If you or your children have a fever, please make sure that you are fever free for 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medication, before coming to Temple Sinai to participate in any programs, worship or school.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• While we are a very close community, please refrain from hugging or shaking hands at this time. Consider greeting with a wave or elbow bump.

If you would like more information about COVID-19, and how to prevent the spread of the disease, please visit the CDC website.

We are monitoring the situation daily and will follow suggested protocols of local, state, and federal agencies. If we receive additional information that will concern our congregation or normal schedule, we will keep you informed. We appreciate your help to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our Temple Sinai family. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Jack Feldman
