While we love to gather as a community at Temple Sinai, our homes are central to the practice of Judaism and to Jewish family life...truly a holy place for family and friends.

Yet, you’re not alone if you have ever started to light the Shabbat, Chanukah, or Yahrzeit candles and could not remember the prayer’s melody or Hebrew words. The same might have happened for blessings over wine, bread and our children. Or perhaps you’ve moved into a new home and are wondering just what to say when hanging a mezuzah. Your Temple Sinai family is here to help!

Click on the images below to watch short video explanations from our clergy, hear the melodies of each prayer, and for a printable sheet with Hebrew words and transliteration. More prayers will be coming soon. Of course, we hope you will reach out to a member of our clergy team with other questions or for additional guidance.
