Join Rabbi Sam for a 2-part series on the values of Courage and Preservation through a Jewish lens. In these classes, we will use the interactive and dynamic curriculum put forth by "M2: The Institute for Experiential Jewish Education” to explore these values through contemporary videos, modern songs, ancient Jewish text, and more.

Session 1: COURAGE - Wednesday, February 24 at 7:00 pm
Landing on the moon. Moving across the world. Signing a peace treaty.
These may be some of the ideas that come up when you think of acts of courage. But what about everyday acts of courage? What does our Jewish tradition teach us about these and how can we be agents of change in the broader world. Together we will explore how being true to yourself, lending a listening ear, and following your inner convictions are all acts of courage.

Session 2: PRESERVATION - Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00 pm
In the face of today’s complex world and its shifting perspectives, our identity can serve as an anchor and catalyst for growth when everything else around us seems to change. The Jewish People have encountered and embraced change in highly dramatic and dynamic ways throughout our long history. Together we will explore the value of Preservation by taking a deep look at identifying features of ourselves, our communities, and our traditions.
