Shabbat Services with Guests from the Museum of Southern Jewish Experience

Friday, December 17, 2021 13 Tevet 5782

6:30 PM - 7:30 PMSanctuary

Jay Tanenbaum, Sinai member and Chair of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, along with Anna Tucker their Curator, and Emma Herr, the Director of Development, will be with us during Shabbat services to share about the museum, its mission and partnership with Temple Sinai to collect Southern Jewish stories.

Afterwards, join Jay and the other guests from the Museum for a wine and cheese reception.

Spanning 300 years and 13 states, the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience presents exhibitions, collections, and educational programs focused on the unique and remarkable history of Jewish life in the American South to encourage new understanding and appreciation for identity, diversity, and acceptance. From early immigration histories and merchant stores to the civil rights movement and the vibrancy of Southern Jewish life today, these personal stories are essential to MSJE's community engagement and the preservation of Southern Jewish experiences.

You may join us in person or virtually. Per our updated protocols, unvaccinated individuals (12 and older) are asked to participate virtually.
