Join us for Israel 75 Live, a weekend of celebration in honor of Israel's 75th Birthday. American-Israeli comedians Joel Chasnoff and Benji Lovitt will entertain and engage us with comedy, cooking, and conversation about all things Israel based on their new book, Israel 201.

Friday, March 10
6:30 pm Shabbat Service with Special Guests Joel Chasnoff and Benji Lovitt


7:30 pm Shabbat Dinner and Discussion: If You Will It, Then What?, a game-based conversation about what happens when Jews get a country of their own, and what a Jewish state should and shouldn’t look like. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will be available for dinner.

Saturday, March 11
9:00 am Torah Study - IDF Purity of Arms:
Is it possible for wars to be fought ethically? How does Israel's code of military ethics, called Tohar Haneshek (Purity of Arms) differ from that of every other country in the world? In this session, we'll examine Tohar Haneshek by drawing on ancient Jewish texts. We'll also discuss the various ethical dilemmas that Israeli soldiers face in battle, and how wartime decisions are made.

1:00 pm NEW Addition!! Conversation Regarding Israel’s Controversial Judicial Reforms: Join us for a conversation and Q&A with our visiting teachers, Joel Chasnoff and Benji Lovitt, concerning the proposed and highly divisive changes to Israel’s judiciary which are sparking protests throughout the country.  Joel and Benji will help to shed light on the proposed changes regarding Israel’s Supreme Court as well as any future implications. RSVP Here

4:00 pm A Family Cooking Experience - Israeli Style: We will make authentic Israeli food together and have some fun! This program is designed for kids ages 3-12.
