$5,000 Merit Award
Temple Sinai students between the ages of 15-23 are invited to apply.
The prestigious Merrill & Sheila Wynne Judaic Experience Award is given annually to ONE Temple Sinai student recipient to be used toward a meaningful Judaic learning and experiential program. Programs can be related to Israel travel, Jewish camping, social justice experiences, or continued learning opportunities. The competitive Wynne Award is merit-based and intended to honor a recipient’s desire to pursue a transformative Jewish experience.
Eligible programs may include but are not limited to:
• Jewish camping experience
• Israel trip or semester of study in Israel
• Judaic Studies program in an accredited college or university
• Jewish social justice volunteer experience
Applications are available on the Temple Sinai website and are due by February 15, 2024.
Qualifications: Applicants must be between the ages of 15-23 by the application deadline. Parent(s) or applicant must be a member in good standing at Temple Sinai. The program for which the applicant is submitting an application must take place between Summer 2024 and the conclusion of Summer 2025.
Requirements of Award Winner:
- Present a summary report or blog article to share with the congregation.
- Present a D'var Torah about their experience during a Shabbat Service.
- Send a thank you note to the Wynne family sharing a highlight of their experience.
