Each year Temple Sinai participates in Atlanta's Shinshinim program, which pairs a young Israeli educator with different Jewish programs throughout the city to help our students build a relationship with Israel. This year, we are excited to have Shahaf Vaknin join us -- all the way from Atlanta's sister city, Yokneam. He enjoys sports and photography!

Shahaf already feels like Atlanta is a second home to him after participating in the Maccabi Games (swimming) in 2019. He is excited to be back as part of our Noar team!

He'll be leading our Israeli Scouts, a 4th grade chug (elective). Israeli Scouts combines elements of youth movements from Israel led by Shahaf: they'll learn about Israeli culture through different games, celebrations, and practices through hands-on experiences. Shahah is looking forward imparting two traits on Noar students that he thinks are particularly Israeli: motivation and energy.
