Understanding the Rainbow: NAVON (65+) Lunch & Learn with SOJOURN
Tuesday, June 11, 12:00 pm
NAVON and SOJOURN (The Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender & Sexual Diversity) are partnering to host a special lunch & learn. We'll explore the changing landscape of identity, the language and terminology of gender and sexual diversity and how to be an ally through a Jewish lens. Lunch will be provided. Film Screening of Mama Bears in Partnership with Holy Innocents Episcopal Church
Tuesday, June 25, 6:30 pm
Join us for a screening of the documentary Mama Bears. Follow the stories of moms of LGBTQIA+ kids who overcome their conservative backgrounds and communities to become fierce advocates for their children. The evening will be hosted by Bunzl Family Cantorial Chair Beth Schafer and Rev. Stewart Lucas of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church who will share some of their stories about being gay clergy. We will also hear from the filmmaker Daresha Kyi about her experience making the film. Light dinner will be served. RSVP Here
