Like to Dance? This is Your Chance!

We’ve seen you do “The Wobble” and “The Electric Slide” at weddings and B’nei Mitzvah, and we know you dance wherever you are when something grooves just right. Now you have an opportunity to be a part of Temple Sinai’s very own line dance, “The Red Sea Strut.” Written by Beth Schafer and choreographed by Rabbi Ron Segal, “The Strut” may be the first congregational line dance ever created and we want you to be a part of its debut in time for Passover!

The link below will lead you to a page with an instructional video where Rabbi Segal will teach you the dance. There will also be a short version MP3 for you to dance to. Video yourself dancing to the MP3 and upload your video to Dropbox. Since it’s a line dance, if you can record yourself with others that would be great, but not necessary.

All videos need to be uploaded by Monday, April 4 to be included in the debut music video that will go out the week of Passover.

And, if you want to include the full-length track in a playlist, or dance to it on TikTok, it will be available on all major streaming platforms on Friday, April 1!

We hope you’ll have fun with us and strut your stuff!

Recording specs:

  • Record on your phone in 4k resolution.
  • Place your phone horizontal.
  • Make sure you are well lit.
