We can't wait to get back to Noar THIS Sunday, January 29 - it's going to be another incredible day with our Educators in Residence: The Bible Players! Students in grades K-6 will each experience a 30 minute workshop with the Bible Players and then all grades (Pre-K-8) will join them for a school wide comedy show at the end of the day. Students will also continue their Bayit (home base) studies, noted in the "What's coming up" section below.

Shoreshim will be learning about Tu B'shvat (the festival of the trees!) with a Tu B'shvat seder and parsely planting.
Chaverim (Grades 2-3) January 29th
Students will learn about the Exodus story by creating baskets for baby Moses to float, learning about slavery to freedom, and more Passover themes!
Orim (Grades 4-5) January 29th
Orim is exploring Bereisheet by exploring their own name and the creation story. Please send your Orim student in with knowledge of their Hebrew name if they have one.
Zehut (6th Grade) January 29th
Zehut will be wrapping up their Holocaust unit as both classes combine to hear from their teacher, Emily Yehezkel, about her grandfather's experience in the Holocaust with authentic documents. Students will explore the idea of generational trauma associated with the Holocaust as Jewish people.
Kabbalot of Laughs Shabbat (A Family Shabbat Comedy Show) with The Bible Players Friday, January 27 The Bible Players are a Torah Comedy team that are teaching Jewish Values and sweeping the nation! They use theater and improv to infuse comedy and laughs into tales from the Torah and beyond. They will be here for an Educator in Residence weekend kicking off with a Family Shabbat Comedy Show.
Meet us at 5:45 pm for a pizza dinner before the show! Cost is $5 per person for kids 5+ (kids under 5 are free).
Social Action Sunday Sunday, February 12 Whether you and your family have 5 minutes or 30, we would LOVE your help to make blankets for the Friends of Refugees Embrace Program for newborns. We will also create a banner to use at Sinai during our Family Promise host weeks. Meet us right after Noar in the Community Rooms between 12:15 pm and 2:00 pm. RSVP so we can make sure we get enough pizza for our volunteers.
